Anything ever become of this Callaway Camaro Speedster concept? I remembered this rendering being in at least one of the mainstream magazines (C&D, R&T, MotorTrend or Automobile) but, nothing after that. This is not my scan, I found it online after searching for additional info.

Re: Gen4 Callaway Camaro Speedster?
I assume that's my scan. (I deleted it out of my photobucket along with a lot of other images the other day to clear some space.) I don't mind/care if you have it uploaded .
Anyway, it was actually a drawing by whoever that artist is (I'd have to locate my original scan or the topic on here (don't know what I titled it) to figure out the answer to that) and it was just the artist's idea. It wasn't anything Callaway or Paul Deutschman had an idea for.
The one major problem with that drawing is that the seats are in an impossible location. They are about 4 inches from where the rear seats would be or about ~12 to 16 inches from where they would normally be. If you moved them up to where they would normally be, it'd look less impressive. I'm sure Callaway would have been able to relocate the seats further back and extend the steering wheel and dash out, but boy would that be expensive!
I love the lime green interior with the pace car graphics. Such a cool drawing.

In the 5th gen it's worthless, in the 4th gen it's only worthless if you can't contort to fit back there. Pretty comfy once you get in . Then again, at 6'5" you'd have a bigger problem than me at 6'!
