1980 BMW 320iS for sale.

its an original owner car w/ 104K miles and located in Rhode Island. He had the conversion done at the Callaway Stewarts Corner "shop" in 1980/81.
These are great little cars ( I own one too) and I have extra parts, manuals, etc for maintaining them. PM me if you want more info.

awesome car John,

when all papers , invoices of the conversion are present this BMW is definately a collectors item.

value will rise I am sure. the discutable cars are the ones without the original installation invoices as the kits sold from Callaway separate too and in later the kits were sold on used market.


like my 2 kits VW A1 and A2 these are genuine and original but will never get value cause they will install aftermarket.

BJ, this Bimmer is 30 yrs "new" but in very good condition. Kinda cool that its an original owner car and will come with a written story and documents of how he brought it to Callaway for the turbo set-up and other add-ons at the Stewart's Corner "home garage". These are the cars where all of today's "Powerfully Engineered" got started, right?

I decided to buy it for my daughter to drive but before she does she'll need to learn from dad how to restore it, fix it up, maintenance, etc.

She is 4 so plenty of time....

This old Callaway turbo-Bimmer is headed to Florida today. The owner told me a story that in 1981 he was with a co-worker that had a turbo installed on his vehicle at Callaway's world headquarters which was then the "Stewarts Corner/home garage". His co-worker friend was so happy with the work it convinced this fellow to bring in his BMW 320is for the new turbo set-up too.

What vehicle did his co-worker friend convert into a Callaway turbo?

There is a story that Reeves himself had a Caddy Callaway Turbo too.
but I never had the time yet to meet Reeves and ask.

I hope there will be a day real soon I get to USA or meet Reeves in Germany and have lunch or dinner and chat some turbosystems
