1990 B2K #005 New home- time to get sorted

Just picked up this 1990 #005. So exited to have this 90s classic in my collection. Car needs some sorting out but will be a great driver. Made it home 80 miles away, and the clutch slave went out like a mile from my shop.

Lots of oil leaks to fix. Parking brake, cluster, radio and speakers, steering gear / power steering pump, clutch hydraulics.

Just wondering if anyone was running different exhausts what sounded the best. Defiantly gonna dump the cats and fab something up for the front pipe.

Wow! Great looking car! I've got a 3" exhaust on mine with Dynomax Ultra Flo's. The sound is awesome and the power is incredible!

Former Callaway company car in 1990 and 1991. Great history!

Any updates on this beauty? I was so wanting to bid on this, but missed the end of the auction. I would have liked to add a '90 Turq Callaway B2K to go with my '90 Turq ZR-1. Great looking car and hope that you're making good progress on the maintenance items!

Just started tearing her down. Going to just pull the whole drivetrain and go through it all. Fix all the oil leaks and hoses that are suspect. Four bolts in the turbos were cross threaded and broke off so just going to pull all out and fix right. Sucks when hacks worked on cars like these with no business doing so. So going to refresh all the suspension and just make it like it left the factory 30 years ago. LOL. I post up some pics as I go. It looks like Callaway still has most of the parts needed too but if come up with anything I cant come up I'll let you guys know.

Got trans and turbos off. Motor out tomorrow. What a pain someone has has there hands in this car screwing stuff up. Pretty much half the turbo bolts broke so gonna be a party fixing those up. Lol. But all off and apart for now.

Got the motor out and torn down. Everything looks super clean. It still has the Callies crank in it, TRW pistons unsure if those were stock, and a set of h beam rods that I don't think they ever left Callaway with. I posted pic of cam if anyone know if that is stock too.

#90-005 was the test car and demo for Callaway Cars in 1990/1991 and as I recall, had around 44k miles when it was listed for sale in 1999 with two new turbos.. The broker had that car, and the red 1989 coupe w/ 1,600 miles. I bought the coupe.

So a Callies crank was standard, at least for a -90? (Or -91 since your car seems to have been updated?) I've read that somewhere but couldn't find the source when I was writing my article for Club Corvette Sweden.
Thanks’ for posting a lot of pictures, it's very interesting to see what later cars look like when disassembled :)

John, Nope. Black coupe is now on it's 3rd owner after me. I think that's 7 owners, total, over 31 years.
