Callaway-Bridgestone Run Flats

With so few data points available, it's hard to determine a value for these wheels. Does anyone have an idea of what a fair price would be for a full set in very good condition, with Bridgestone center caps? Has anyone found a set for sale and do you have a link or remember the asking price? Thanks!

Cheers,
Scott

I’ve seen them sell for $1200-2500...really only have value to a Callaway owner so it just depends how bad you want them.

They look great but weigh a ton.

Thanks! I've never seen any for sale and that at least gives me an idea of probable value. I agree that the demand may be restricted to a limited number of Callaway owners, though.

I’ve only seen one set of Run Flat wheels for sale in the last 10 years.

Our COG buddy in the Netherlands (Jeroen) sent me an email about 10 years ago about a set of RF wheels for sale on Craigslist. They were literally 3 miles from my house in south Florida.

I had seen this same set of wheels on a regular C4 Corvette at a local car show around 2005 and wondered at the time “how the heck did they get on that car??”. The wheels had been “chromed” but were the real deal.

Fast forward to 2009(?) and these wheels are now for sale. I raced to the seller and bought the set for $500 and they now sit in my warehouse waiting to get refinished some day.

Pretty cool that a COG buddy 3,000 miles away tells me about set of rare Callaway wheels for sale just 3 miles away!

Thanks again Jeroen! :beer .

I have a chromed set I planned to deplate and refinish one day. Also found and bought a set of correct center caps. As they sit, I would sell them for about the money Kingforward paid for his.

I'm not looking to buy another set, just gauging value of the set that I do have and wondering if I should remove them for safekeeping instead of continuing to use them on a daily basis. Seems like a good price if someone is looking for a set, though.

Logged in to the COG for the first time in QUITE awhile and was surprised to see this discussion. I actually own the Bridgestone Run Flat Twins and possess 2 extra, full sets of wheels for my babies. They are currently "hanging heavy" in my pole barn but I am not certain (off the top of my head) what center caps they have. Never posted them for sale but.... you never know! I have, however been thinking of selling my 1966 427 if anyone is interested!!

I love the Run flat wheels and I know my buddy Mark from TX has a few sets in storage.

John, I was going to buy the wheel myself but needed someone to collect them for me :jsmile
Just kidding ! :beer

Found a 100+ intake on craigslist once too :h6 :thumbs

When someone is in need of Callaway parts just let me know , I am roaming the internet worldwide for Callaway related stuff for over 15 years now. Resulting in 3 complete Callaway VW turbokits and an empty bankaccount so that Callaway Corvette I am saving up for over a long time will probably take some more time :wtf

I was half joking... but at the same time, half serious! I also browse online for unique parts and pieces as my way of de-stressing from work and to ignore my teenagers arguing with each other. I think that Jeroen and I would get along wonderfully :thumbs

Scott

It's funny how we occupy time. My wife knows al about Dymags, boost, exhaust, and more. She's heard it all...

Also, remember when there were actually TWO of the elusive 100+ kits on eBay in a week? :hi

Finding one 100+ Intake in a week was a “unicorn” story.
Finding TWO in a week was completely off the probability charts!!

I haven’t seen anything cool or unique for sale on EBay or Craiglist or anywhere else for a few years.

Anybody here score anything cool lately (original Dymags, rare parts, C1 cars, etc)?

Jeroen, I still have your original C1 piping molds from the early 80s sitting in my warehouse loft. When are you coming to get them?? :thumbs

My cars are currently split between two locations (two in storage on the east coast), but let me know if you find yourself in the Seattle area and we can take a couple cars for a drive!

No... we just moved here a couple of months ago, but I'd enjoy meeting up with him at some point.

Been offline for quite a while and just now catching up.

This is a long thread but if anyone is still selling a set of the Callaway Runflat Wheels / Center Caps or a real and complete 100+ kit (with all the parts Callaway would need to install it at the factory) etc drop me a PM.

Thank you
