Mito vs. Futura

I've seen some Callaways wearing OZ Futura wheels and others with OZ Mito wheels (like those pictured). Anyone know whether both were offered as options by Callaway (and in what years and sizes)? Any benefit to one over the other? Thanks!

Mito was only stock on the super speedsters. Futura on the 91 b2k.

Thanks for sharing that :thumbs Do you happen to know if Callaway offered them as optional wheel sets for either B2K or SuperNatural owners at some point?

Good question... I was always curious myself. The paperwork on our SN car reads “OZ modular wheels”. Below that, it specifies OZ Monte Carlo wheels. The note is dated early 1993.

bbvette,

Interesting! I didn't even know that the OZ Monte Carlo were also offered until someone shared the page from one of the Callaway catalogues with me earlier today on another forum. I'm going to have to search the internet for old photos and see if I can spot that style on some of the cars.

The catalogue listed the monte Carlo wheels as item no. C5508 "OZ Racing Monte Carlo with Pirelli Tires", only offered in 17x9.5s front and rear with 275/40ZR/17 F7000 Supersport tires. Option price was $2595 at the time.
