What do you think about this price?

The last C4 non-AeroBody car to come close to this ballpark was the under 00500 mile 1988 35th Anniversary 4 speed manual coupe from the MY Collection.

That's crazy! Over bought on an emotional bidding war IMO. Reminds me of the $75K Grand Sport vert that was bought at NCRS in Kissimmee years ago. The price has never replicated to the best of my knowledge.

Maybe people are starting to realize what a special car these are and what they are really worth! Kevin

Man, I sure hope so. That would be long overdue, IMO. That is really strong money for a non-Aerobody car. :beer

That car greatly benefitted from amazing photography. If you scroll thru the pics, you’ll see the front bumper has considerable wear, scratches etc.

I’m not saying its not a good car, it’s driver quality IMO and there is nothing wrong with that. When a yellow 91 Aero vert brought a little over 50k on BAT, I’ll say this one was over bought.

It's funny, as I remember that whole deal.

Bidding went up, up, and away... Cell phone got sketchy, could not hear, bidding climbed, and then the next thing we knew, the car sold for $75,000
No other "regular" Grand Sport from 1996 sold at that figure since. Only the Callaway AeroBody SNAT has been in that ballpark.

I am not crazy about the pics. Call me critical, but I could have done much better. The clean room settings remind me of dealership tricks, but will say it highlights the car, and it stood out. Other ads they ran (I think) had better pics. The ones from the train yard, if it's the same seller...

That's my point. My guess is the car will have presented much better in the pics than in real life.

Before anyone thinks Im poo-poo'ing on the car, Im not. I just think it was caught up in an emotional bidding war.

IMO this was a much better car and only brought half the money.
