Selling on CraigsList is funny!

Post by SuperNat98 »

My husband has too much junk. Way too much! As a result, I told him no more toys until he sells something. Sounds fair, right?

At any rate, I decided to post some of his stuff on CraigsList while he was out in the yard. So far, all I have gotten is lukewarm replies, and one scammer. Is this for real? :wtf
Thanks for your response to my mail, I hope it is in good condition
like it stated because I have taken a close look at the advert and am
completely satisfied, . I'll want you to remove the advert from web
and consider this item is sold to me, I'll be paying via Certified check
and the check will deliver to you in next two days .So i want to be the
best offer by adding $50 to your money and i hope you will keep
this item for me

Your Full Name
Contact Physical Address not p.o box
City and State with Zip Code
Cell phone number

I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping
i will have my mover to come over as soon as you have the check, and i
will get back to you once my secretary made the payment out to you.

Thanks

Oh, but it gets better:
Thanks for getting back to me so fast i am okay with the present condition of the item and the price, consider me as your favorite buyer.I will be paying via cashiers check which i found to be easy and reliable.I do have a shipper/mover who takes care of the shipping aspect throughout the state, so they will be the one to pick up the item at your end.....i would need your name, address and contact telephone number so that the payment can be issue right away but the payment will be issue in excess so when you receive the check, cash it and wire the rest to my shipper/mover so that they can come for the pick up at your end.so get back to me as soon as possible so that the check can be issue asap.
Thanks Alot

Who talks like this? Only scammers?

Do you know any better ways to deal with this? Craigs List was suggested to me as a way to sell things. I didn't expect the scams :bs

Bought some stuff from CL at 20c on the dollar to replace some major appliances.

Know what I heard?

Why are wedding gowns white?

To match the rest of the appliances :nono

I didn't think it was funny, either :hi

I have been selling more and more on CL.

Just made an easy hundred on a couple of car parts which were obsolete (to me) :beer
