Power Groups

Post by stingraymyway »

Hi folks,
My '04 is currently equipped with the Power Group 1, DDexhaust & Honker.
Just wanted to know if anyone has the PG2? If so, what kind of difference is there in feel, power wise, and if the headers added to the volume of the exhaust note. Any drawbacks?
I understand that they're not offered as groups anymore but as individual components for the C5's, but the headers, throttle body, plug wires, seemed to be a good combination.
Any comments? Suggestions?

I think you would be happy with the up grade.
The headers do not increase exhaust sound.
My C5 has the 550 big bore engine; the exhaust note is just a little different.

Thanks for the input.
I'd like to go with the former PG3 but with over 30K miles on the Vette, I think it'd be better if I stay mild with the upgrades. Maybe after the PG2, I'll look into the LeMans brake system. :beer

I own the car that Callaway use to develop all 4 power groups, it currently has PG1,PG2 & PG3 and was tested with PG4 (550). It was born a 03 Z06 and runs 11.7 / 120 mph in the 1/4 mile and with PG4 it ran 10.9 in the 1/4 mile. Runs strong and sounds awsome! Good luck with your Callaway conversion. :beer [img]

Nice Z :thumbs
I recently went to the Callaway web site and couldn't find the Throttle Body listed. Has production stopped on that item?

Thanks.
Will do. I'm also having a bad feeling that the short tube headers might be discontinued. :pale

Well, I've had the Headers, Throttle Body, Wires, on for the Summer and I'm so glad I took that next step. The car runs great! :thumbs
