Scale GT3-R Build...part 1/43...whats been cooking in the Scale Garage

Post by critt99 »

GM, been awhile...got a few projects cooking, mostly a lack of spare time dictates the work......but have invested heavily in the GT3-R 1/43 kit.

Please check out my Callaway Competition and Street Racecars FB to keep up on other Callaway news and racing!

The plan is to further/completely develop the kit and offer to a major kit manufactureer to produce and if not I guess I will try myself... we sought a model maker sometime back to produce a GT3-R for Callaway, but the cost for development and tooling was not enticing to the manufactureers, so I decided to do the work for them......And I just wanted to anyway. As a test run, I am making a set of 25 "curbside" cars for Callaway Comp right now with no internal detail. Actually, the decals are the hardest part for me. I print them on a thermal ALPS printer, the only "customer" printer made that can print in chrome and white ink. The one thing I have never made is thin stainless etched parts...next challange...so the parts are being 3d printed as we speak and will post pics when available...its just like Christmas!

Hope to be more frequent...mike
