TVS blowers
So Luigi's car is running the 1900. I thought I read the new ZR1 is running the 2300. I wonder why the difference.

Re: TVS blowers
Surf,
It is hard to tell. When I first saw the engine I thought it was the 2300 as well but then I was told it was a 1900.
Here is what is on my car and here is what is shown on the Magnuson website: http://www.magnusonproducts.com/
Please tell me which one you think it is. I thought it was the 2300 but was just repeating what I was told.

Re: TVS blowers
I believe the exterior dimensions between the two are identical. Im not sure you can tell the difference by a visual inspection. Hmmmmm

Do you have some new info?
I pulled that info from the Magnuson website but have no idea if it correct.

Re: TVS blowers
Dimensional schematics of the new TVS blowers...supposedly the two cases are the same.

Oh i see it. I missed the length....tho I would not think 1.5" would not be discernible in a picture.

Re: TVS blowers
If you count the number of crates on the blowers in the schematics, the upper blower case shows 7 crates, the lower blower shows 8 crates.
Unfortunately, the two schematics are not labelled as to which model is which.
Looking at one of the pictures that I took of my car, I just counted the number of crates. I count 8.
Surf, can you put the model numbers to the schematics?

Re: TVS blowers
Also if you go http://www.magnacharger.com/
Mine looks like the one that appears under Kenny Dutweillers 950HP LSX video which is the 2300 (8 crate).
Just an observation.

Re: TVS blowers
LUIGI'S CAR IS USING A PREPRODUCTION 2300 SUPERCHARER.I Bin Therbefor wrote:Please note that these diagrams are of the rear intake units, not the front intake units as installed on the Corvette.
The statement below applies to the usual blower, not the TVS blower. It would not suprise me if it applies to the TVS blowers, but I don't know that for a fact. You've got a 1900 unit. The 2300 isn't shipping. Last I talked to Callaway, they said they were in the process of engineering the 2300 for the Vett but didn't have any other information to share at the time.
"You can buy the kit from any of the authorized Callaway Magna Charger Dealers or directly from Callaway Cars, Inc. Callaway is the exclusive worldwide distributor of the Eaton/Magnuson Supercharger System for Corvette. All Corvette supercharger kits that use the Eaton/Magnuson Supercharger come to market through Callaway, in any case."

Re: TVS blowers
As the sole distributor of the Corvette Supercharger Im pretty sure Callaway has early access to them. I know the blower on Luigi's car has been on the car for a while. There is no reason its not the 2300 from that standpoint.I Bin Therbefor wrote:Please note that these diagrams are of the rear intake units, not the front intake units as installed on the Corvette.

I would also guess they did not re-engineer the casing for front vs rear intake, which would mean the "8 crate" blower would = 2300
Just my thoughts.
