Looking for a group opinion, If you were to buy a set if old school 17" Dymags would you prefer them painted or powder coated?
And what about 16"s

Re: Paint or Powder Coat
I'll answer ya, I went with powder coating on my 09. Saving the Black Chrome wheels for selling. I like the mono color look and someone somewhere said powder coating was pretty durable. Who knows but they look good, metalic gray 5 spokes. Enjoy what ever choice you make.

The only issue I've had with painted wheels is stone chips. I don't think a powder coated wheel would be as likely to chip from the occasional stray stone.

with PC make sure your guy knows magnesium; have to outgas them before......painting turns out well and touch up is easy

Thanks guys, I am leaning towards paint, My painter says he has a product that is almost as tough as PC and like Lee says, easier to touch up. Cheaper too I'm just having a hard time trusting anyone with my Dymags and I'm not into the expense of send them to YeOld Wheel
