Twin turbo itch

Post by SurfnSun »

What would the COG do?

I really enjoy the Callaway GS car, but as I have had for the last 20+ years, a real leaning to the B2k cars.

I haven’t forgotten how much work they can be but they are still my favorite Corvette.

Sell the C6 and buy a garage queen B2k or keep the C6 and drive the wheels off of it?

Decisions, Decisions....

I’ve thought of that but can’t swing both right now for the caliber of B2k I want. My fear is a the twin turbo market will get out of reach in the next 5 years as prices are inching up on the Aerobody models. There have even been some overly strong sales of stock body cars.

I gave up my wish to own an aerobody car.

I was not in de position financilly to buy one due to my young Family and building my house.
Now the kids are older and house and garage are ready I can really start enjoying cars.

I am placing my bets on a nice C5 maybe Z06 as they are roomiest for my 6 ft 5 or the C6 with SC package and reconstruct the seats.

Also a Porsche is on my wishlist, I love the flat 6 symphony.

Both Callaway Volkswagen I am keeping for now :hi

Well in that case I'd change my vote to a TT car and catch the one you want before the price gets out of reach. The C6 cars are going to be going down in value for a few years yet, so you have plenty of time on that end of the spectrum.

Hell, I still want another TT car but I have no place to put it and no money to buy one since I ordered my truck - and I'm not quite ready to part with the C6 B2K yet. I am glad to see the TT values go up, but I hope I get back to the point where I can get another one before they get out of reach. Plus I'd actually like to retire at some point so I'm trying to sock money away. :help

I vote for both, but recognize what you said, and also the point of pricing is such, the good B2K cars will continue to climb (long overdue) and the SC cars will depreciate a bit further as new Corvettes become available. Just the way the newer car market works, as we know.

Sounds like a few more Callaway's have sold lately. Is it:

A. Market awareness
B. Next gen having money and able to buy?
C. Last gen cashing out/moving on?
D. All the above?

I don't know, but I am hoping for 'A'. It's long overdue.
