I enjoyed it also. As a TRX owner, I was a little disappointed at the outcome of course, but 1000 extra pounds make a big difference. I am no expert in design, but I suspect a lot of that extra weight is due to the heavy duty off road nature of the TRX. Different trucks, different purposes. It's all good.

Still, I have to say, I REALLY like my TRX.

Callaway has posted the instrumented data from the tests. The data makes the comparison look closer than the video did.

TRX: 3.99 sec

Silverado: 9.80 sec
TRX: 10.14 sec

1/4 mile
Silverado: 12.45 @ 113.0 mph
TRX: 12.48 sec @ 109.2 mph

I'd say it was a pretty good showing on both sides, especially considering Callaway also recorded the TRX was 1260 lbs heavier.

It would be fun to see an off-road comparison test.

Agreed, a nice match, and surprising how much the weight difference made vs. peak hp.

Off road, agreed, too. But most of these trucks, regardless of brand, will be used in gravel soccer field parking lots, at best.
