Interesting... thanks, Chris! When I got some more time, I'll have to pick your brain to see what you remember about the car, hopefully at an event soon (although I heard that I may get transferred overseas very soon, and that may complicate things for me).

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a 1988 CTTC with some what of a sketchy past but a great buy for the money. I will sum up my situation. It's a 1988 white coupe CTTC with Dymag wheels #34. the carfax states a problem and a rebuilt title but title is clear and when I inspected the car it shows no signs of an accident. But the first thing that caught my eye was the Callaway badge in the car says #33 but the chassis, VIN and engine numbers all say #34. also the interior was switched out from Tan to Red which led me to believe there was some kind of water damage. The car is originally from Illinois.
There doesn't seem to be to much traffic on this page as of late, but if anyone can help with the history it would be much appreciated. I will attach some images.

Please call or email Callaway Cars and tell them the Vin
They have a database of how the car left their factory and maybe even maintenance too.

Hi Jeroenvgfn,
I'm all ready registered with Callaway cars as the owner of #34. the Vin checks out. It was a dealer car that was sent to Old Lyme to get the TT so it doesn't have the B2K option from the factory. I have a copy of the Window sticker and options list, everything adds up except the badge.

Hello Luigi, not really a new member , Chris used to call me "Jonny Cash" one piece at a time. I had an 07 C6 that had Callaway options but not the supercharger.
I own a 2013 ZO6 with 2,800 miles on it still hoping to get the conversion done. Thanks, Jeff.

Hey gang, just purchased #29 '90 yellow TT aerobody, 1 of 2 yellow made. 32k mile car from the original owner. sitting right next to #211 GrandSport in my garage. i feel very fortunate to part of this fraternity.

Hello from Nebraska! I found my 88 Callaway Convertible #16 last year in West Virginia. I have found some info on my cars past on this site and that’s great. PO didn’t have much info on it. I posted some pics in the required pic section. I hope to be able to take it to some Corvette shows next year. It took a while but I am glad to join all of you here. Kevin :hi

Hi all.

New member here from Atlanta, Georgia. New to the Corvette world -- just picked up a 2013 GS, Callaway SC606, 4LT, 6-speed, yellow, 9k miles. Coming out of a 2011 Shelby GT500, which I loved dearly, but I could not pass up the opportunity to get the Callaway, which popped up for sale locally.

Not as many opportunities right now to more “fully experience” the Callaway given the winter temps and rainy weather we have been having. Hoping for some warm winter days and an early spring! Looking forward to enjoying the Callaway and getting use to the differences between it and the Shelby.

Also looking forward to interacting with all of you here on the forum. I’m sure I will have a number of questions as I go along.

I’ll go ahead and call a party foul on myself for not posting a pic or two with my intro. The weather has just been awful here and I haven’t had a chance to get it out in the sun (what’s that?) and snap a few good pics.

Oh, and I daily a 2014 Chevy SS so I'm not totally new to Chevy LS power!

Merry Christmas to everyone. I am in the hunt and have found a 2012 Corvette SC606 Centennial Edition Grandsport 6 speed manual that I am really interested in to replace my 2003 Z06. I would appreciate any and all insights or things to look for when doing due diligence pre-purchase inspections. I love my Z06, but after overcoming a form of paralysis I want to reward myself with something very special. Thank you and I plan to continue being involved in the Az. region as I am also a member of Fast Glass Corvette Club.

Really nothing to inspect outside of the ordinary. These cars can run a very long time. Our 2010 Grand Sport SC606 now has over 275,000 miles, and still going. Check alignment, as they were pretty aggressive. Brake pad wear, and tire wear (abnormal wear). The rest is straightforward. Belts and hoses, and the condition of the front harmonic balancer.
