Anyone know a good guide to O-gauge trains?

Looking to price a train set I just unwrapped - appears to have been last touched some time in 1957

1.5 years later, I am really getting motivated to move these trains. Who to see about this? Train expo? No time... Hobby shop? Maybe... But would they be fair in pricing?

That makes two of us. My train has been boxed up at my mom's house since the late 50's also. I received it in 1955 for Christmas. Going home this week to look at it and perhaps bring it back to Ohio with me. Good luck on the sale. Have no idea what it may be worth. Sorry.

Over 2 years, and no movement on my end... I really wish I knew of a place or person who would give me a fair price for all of this... I have BOXES and BOXES taking up space

It's now 4 years + and they are still in boxes, just sitting...

If anyone has info on how to gauge (no pun intended) the 1950s O-Gauge trains and their values, I'd be curious to hear. Thanks!

So, as a follow-up, I went to the local train dealer. He said $1,400 for all, using the Greenburg Train Show Guide Book. I passed, as he really only offered me $680 and said he'd have to factor a profit.

Ended up listing on Craigslist for $1,200 and took slightly less. Buyer suggested he's one of the last to appreciate the trains, and felt like he gave me a gift in buying. Whatever, as he was a dealer, too, I think. Just lower overhead than the other guy.
