Welcome to the Callaway Owners Group and hopefully the car checks-out as everything you expect. Others may have suggestions on a pre-purchase inspection. I can share with you in my experiences of over 500,000 road miles in Callaway Corvettes, the only "weak link" or thing I had go bad, is the fuel system controller called a MagnaVolt (or if replaced, a boost-a-pump).
Callaway Cars does have a replacement, as the originals are tough to find on the model you are considering. Some old stock or used parts are on eBay. Buy a spare, or jump the harness if it ever leaves you without function. Not a high failure rate, but they can't go bad. Later years/models changed from that component.
Please post how you proceed with your purchase.

You're welcome. Did you buy it yet?

What are the indicators of a failing magnavolt fuel controller? My Callaway has a long crank before starting sometimes and I’m trying to narrow it down. It also “coughs” really hard under full throttle acceleration at times. On the scanner I see nothing unusual so I’m leaning towards fuel.

Your symptoms sound somewhat like what I experienced when the magnavolt cut out on the 2008 sc580 I had. I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge, taped to windshield, and could watch it drop significantly.
I bypassed the magnavolt and pressure came back. Just don’t go into boost like that.
Replaced magnavolt and was on my way.

Thanks. I have my fuel pressure gauge in my truck so I can shock pressure next time I get into the corvette garage to play with it. I’ll start a thread with my findings once I start on it.
