American Speed Festival starts tomorrow, Friday Sept 28 and thru Sunday.
M1 Concourse in Pontiac MI is celebrating the life and work of Reeves Callaway during this weekend event.

“Frieda” had a throttle cable issue just before her maiden laps yesterday, so the pit crew went beast mode and found a replacement at a local speed shop. The four gents in these pictures ( Pete, Mike Z, Ernst and Wayne) built and serviced this race car at LeMans almost 30 years ago and got her fixed!

Pete wore his father’s old race suit to run demonstration laps yesterday in Frieda. Pete was 13 and attended the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans race which was the last time Frieda was run on a track.
Reeves had this race suit specially made himself for Le Mans and Pete suited up in it.
How special is that?
